Kiedy punk dotarł do Wielkiej Brytanii w połowie lat siedemdziesiątych, wywołał szok w całym kraju. Na czele muzycznego ataku na wszystko, co znaliśmy wcześniej, stanęli The Clash – potężna maszyna punkrockowa, która rozpalała publiczność i brawurowo łączyła wpływy takie jak dub reggae, rockabilly i ska.
The Clash w szczytowej formie na scenie w Tokio podczas trasy koncertowej po Dalekim Wschodzie w 1982 roku. Zespół właśnie ukończył nagrywanie „Combat Rock”, ale żaden z utworów z wkrótce wydanego albumu nie znalazł się na setliście. Oto The Clash, którzy miażdżą wszystkich, wykonując 13 utworów, w tym hity „London Calling”, „This Is Radio Clash” i „Tommy Gun”. W pewnym momencie żona basisty Paula Simonona, Pearl Harbor (znana również jako Pearl E. Gates) z nowofalowego zespołu Pearl Harbor and the Explosions, dołącza do zespołu na scenie, by zaśpiewać „Fujiyama Mama”. Koncert kończy się porywającym wykonaniem „White Riot”.

When punk arrived in the UK in the mid-seventies it sent shock waves around the country. Spearheading the musical assault on all we had previously known were The Clash, a mighty punk rock machine that exhilarated its audience and recklessly combined influences such as dub reggae, rockabilly and ska.
The Clash at their best on stage in Tokyo during the band’s tour of the Far East in 1982. The band had just finished recording „Combat Rock”, but none of the songs from the soon-to-be-released album made the setlist. Here we’ve got The Clash powering through 13 songs including the hits 'London Calling’, 'This Is Radio Clash’ and 'Tommy Gun’. At one point, bassist Paul Simonon’s wife Pearl Harbor (a.k.a. Pearl E. Gates) of the new wave band Pearl Harbor and the Explosions joins the band onstage to sing 'Fujiyama Mama’. The set comes to a close with a rousing performance of 'White Riot’.
