Po tym, jak album „In Utero” znalazł się na szczycie list przebojów po obu stronach Atlantyku po premierze we wrześniu 1993 roku, sława Nirvany nie podlegała dyskusji. Kiedy ogłoszono, że zespół będzie gwiazdą koncertu na Pier 48 w Seattle 13 grudnia 1993 roku, a na koncercie mieli wystąpić również The Breeders, Cypress Hill i Pearl Jam, fani dzielnie stawiali się w ulewnych deszczach, czekając w kolejce przez całą noc po darmowe bilety. Przepastny magazyn Pier 48 nad jeziorem w Seattle nie mógł być lepszym miejscem na prawdziwy pokaz grunge’u, a transmisja koncertu w wielu stacjach telewizyjnych i radiowych, dostępna dla wszystkich, zapewniła mu niezapomniane wrażenia. Koncert Nirvany, który zagrał w tę zimną grudniową noc prawie 20 lat temu, znajduje się na tym winylowym LP.

With In Utero topping the charts on both sides of the Atlantic following its September 1993 release, Nirvana’s celebrity was not in question. When it was announced that the band would be headlining at Seattle’s Pier 48 on 13th December 1993, with a bill that was also to feature The Breeders, Cypress Hill and Pearl Jam, fans braved pouring rain to queue overnight for free tickets. Pier 48’s cavernous warehouse on Seattle’s lakefront couldn’t have been a more perfect venue for the ultimate grunge showcase, and with the show broadcast across multiple TV and Radio networks for all to enjoy, the gig’s legacy was assured. The Nirvana set played that cold December night almost 20 years ago is included on this vinyl LP.
