WASTED – The Future Is On Fire CD

Świetna, premierowa płyta WASTED. Każdy kto był na tej scenie w ciągu ostatnich 20-30 lat, na pewno pamięta ten fiński zespół.

Nowy album „The Future Is On Fire” ukazuje zespół w pełnej krasie: szybszy, bardziej zwarty, potężniejszy i zauważalnie bardziej melodyjny – bez rezygnowania z surowości, która ich definiuje. Na tym albumie WASTED otwarcie i bez wahania czerpie inspiracje z własnych utworów. Echa Dead Kennedys, Dead Prez, Ennio Morricone, The Clash, Home Front i Against Me! wybrzmiewają w całym utworze… ALE OD PIERWSZEGO UDERZENIA NIE MOŻNA POMYLIĆ SIĘ, ŻE TO WASTED. Ich charakterystyczne brzmienie pozostaje nienaruszone: konfrontacyjne, a zarazem chwytliwe, agresywne, a zarazem przemyślane.
Jeśli chodzi o teksty, WASTED od dawna znani są ze swojej prowokującej do myślenia, wyraźnie antyfaszystowskiej postawy, a na „The Future Is On Fire” ich przesłanie wydaje się bardziej naglące i aktualne niż kiedykolwiek. Album konfrontuje rosnący autorytaryzm, rozkład społeczny i polityczną apatię z jasnością i przekonaniem!

The new album, “The Future Is On Fire,” captures a band at full force: Faster, tighter, more powerful, and noticeably more melodic – without sacrificing the rawness that defines them. On this record, WASTED embrace their influences openly and without hesitation. Echoes of Dead Kennedys, Dead Prez, Ennio Morricone, The Clash, Home Front, and Against Me! surface throughout…BUT FROM THE VERY FIRST BEAT, THERE’S NO MISTAKING THAT THIS IS WASTED. Their signature sound remains intact: Confrontational yet catchy, aggressive yet thoughtful.
Lyrically, WASTED have long been known for their thought-provoking, explicitly antifascist stance, and on “The Future Is On Fire” their message feels more urgent and relevant than ever. The album confronts rising authoritarianism, social decay, and political apathy with clarity and conviction!
