Insomnio – Happy Lonliness LP

No Way Records presents the U.S. pressing of these Spanish punks brand new 12". "Happy Loneliness" is a big step up for them as well, throwing in a strong dark influence with twisted hooks and desperate lyrical content. It sounds like these guys and gal have been listening to a lot of Wipers "Over The Edge" and Radio Birdman "Limits Appear." This LP still has the great old school Spanish punk/hc elements like their first two records.

Insomnio, a punk band from Zaragoza, Spain, dish out a knuckle sandwich of aggression that somehow manages to combine a whole bunch of different classic and modern hardcore/punk rock sounds into something pretty unique, and the end result is pretty damn cool. Imagine if the Descendents were Spanish and really fucking pissed off, then turn the guitars up to 11. The vocals really stand out and have a 70s/80s punk rock feeling to it like Iggy and the Stooges or Danzig-era Misfits! Upbeat, raw, and fucking angry! Insomnio have a really full sound and listeners are awarded with many punk treats and musical shout-outs to other classic punk bands. Check ‘em out… what have you got to lose but a few Euros, amigo?
