Założeni w 1977 roku w londyńskim East Endzie, COCKNEY REJECTS należą do najważniejszych (i najbardziej utytułowanych) przedstawicieli brytyjskiego street punka, obok SHAM 69, ANGELIC UPSTARTS, 4 SKINS i COCK SPARRER, którego utwór „Oi, Oi, Oi” z albumu „Greatest Hits Vol. II” (1980) dał również nazwę gatunkowi muzycznemu, który go nazwał. Fani West Ham United, którzy wywołali spore poruszenie na brytyjskiej scenie muzycznej swoim debiutanckim albumem „Greatest Hits, Vol. 1” wydanym przez EMI w 1980 r., od tego czasu wydali 13 longplayów nagranych w różnych składach, a także liczne single, EP-ki i kompilacje.
Dziesięć lat po ostatnim albumie studyjnym „East End Babylon”, obecny skład w składzie JEFF GEGGUS (wokal), MICK GEGGUS (gitara), VINCE RIORDAN (gitara basowa) oraz JOE PERRY SANSOME (perkusja) prezentuje zupełnie nowy longplay. Nagrany pod kierownictwem produkcyjnym KEVINA POREE (PAUL YOUNG, DR FEELGOOD), WILKO JOHSON, „Powergrab” łączy w sobie wszystkie muzyczne walory zespołu. W ten sposób COCKNEY REJECTS przeplatają się z punkowym brzmieniem z ich wczesnych lat, a także z hardrockowymi brzmieniami pełnymi charakterystycznej dla nich radości grania. Wersja CD zawiera dwa dodatkowe utwory: „The Cold Light Of Day” i „Learning To Fly”.

The brand new studio album of the British punk legend COCKNEY REJECTS feat. JEFF & MICK GEGGUS. „Powergrab” is released as a CD in jewelcase format (including 2 bonus tracks), as well as a strictly limited, numbered vinyl edition (1000 copies worldwide) on CADIZ MUSIC. Founded in 1977 in London’s East End, the COCKNEY REJECTS are among the most important (and most successful) representatives of British street punk, along with SHAM 69, ANGELIC UPSTARTS, 4 SKINS and COCK SPARRER, whose song „Oi, Oi, Oi” from their album Greatest Hits Vol. II (1980) also gave its name to the music genre named after it. Thus, the West Ham United Fans, who were able to cause quite a stir in the British music scene with their album debut „Greatest Hits, Vol. 1” released on EMI in 1980, have since released 13 longplayers recorded in different lineups, in addition to various singles / EPs and compilation contributions.
Ten years after their last studio album „East End Babylon”, the current formation consisting of JEFF GEGGUS (vocals), MICK GEGGUS (guitar), VINCE RIORDAN (bass), as well as JOE PERRY SANSOME (drums) now presents a brand new longplayer. Recorded under the production direction of KEVIN POREE (PAUL YOUNG, DR FEELGOOD), WILKO JOHSON), „Powergrab” combines all the musical qualities of the band. In doing so, COCKNEY REJECTS span a hookline-laden arc from the punk sound of their early years to hard rock sounds, full of their usual joy of playing. The CD version comes with the two bonus tracks „The Cold Light Of Day” and „Learning To Fly”.
