TOXIC REASONS powstał w 1979 roku w Dayton w stanie Ohio, a hardcore/punk nigdy już nie był taki sam! Znudzeni tym, co działo się muzycznie w tamtym czasie, postanowili założyć własny zespół i kontynuować punkową misję tam gdzie skończyli THE SEX PISTOLS. Niektórzy twierdzą, że pochodnię punk rocka przejęli od poprzednich zespołów. Chwycili ją i nie tylko poszli za nią, ale uczynili ją swoją własną! Po kilku latach ćwiczeń, ciężkiej pracy i nieustannego grania w całych Stanach Zjednoczonych i Kanadzie zespół miał solidny zestaw idealnych utworów. 4 lipca 1982 roku nagrano album „Independence”. Wkrótce potem ukazał się światu i szybko stał się klasykiem hardcore/punka! Minęło tyle lat, a album wciąż jest tak samo aktualny, jak w momencie premiery. Jak dobra whisky; z wiekiem nabrał jeszcze więcej wartości!
W ramach tego specjalnego wydania z okazji 40. rocznicy Millennium Edition, album został odrestaurowany i zremasterowany. Brzmi jeszcze lepiej niż wcześniej. Opakowanie tej wersji nawiązuje do oryginału, ale tym razem zostało wykonane zgodnie z pierwotnymi zamierzeniami zespołu. Dodatkowo, w zestawie znajduje się 20-stronicowa książeczka 12×12, zawierająca nie tylko teksty piosenek, zdjęcia i informacje o twórcach. Znajdują się tam również notatki napisane specjalnie na potrzeby tego wydawnictwa przez zespół i byłych członków z czasów Independence. A także osoby, które miały udział w jego produkcji.
Dla wszystkich kolekcjonerów płyt winylowych – limitowana edycja do 1000 sztuk w kolorze czarnym. Po wyprzedaniu, wydanie nie będzie już zawierało książeczki.

TOXIC REASONS started in 1979 in Dayton, Ohio and hardcore/punk would never be the same! Being bored by what was going on musically at the time these guys decided to start their own band and continue were bands like THE SEX PISTOLS left off. Some say they were passed the torch of punk rock by the bands that came before.They grabbed that torch and not only went with it , but made it their own! After a few years of practicing, living hard and constantly playing all over the US and Canada the band had a solid set of songs that were perfect. On July 4th of 1982 Independence was recorded. Shortly after that Independence was released and quickly became a hardcore/punk classic! All these years latter and its still as relevant as it was when it first came out. Just like fine whiskey; has grown even better with age!
For this special 40th Anniversary Millennium Edition it has been restored and remastered. Not only does it sound even better then before. The packaging on this version takes its cue form the original, but this time was made as the band originally intended it to be. Plus this also contains a 20 page 12×12 booklet with not only lyrics, pictures and credits. Also liner notes written specifically for this release by the band and ex members from the Independence era. As well as people who had a hand in the production of it.
