In the late ’80s, Revelation Records was founded on the base of what would become some of the most important records of the hardcore/punk genre. And while over the years Revelation has branched out to an ever-expanding musical compass, it is clear that the affinity for its roots has always remained. Generations serves as a new chapter in Revelation’s history, for the first time bringing together the best hardcore bands on a national level to deliver what will serve to be the defining compilation of the era. Featuring exclusive tracks only to be found on this compilation, Generations will be an incredible opportunity to experience the energy, depth, and vitality of the hardcore/punk movement of today. Many of the bands, including BLACKLISTED (Philadelphia), DOWN TO NOTHING (Richmond), MENTAL (Boston), and INTERNAL AFFAIRS (Los Angeles) have already established themselves with touring schedules almost as aggressive as their sound – while Toronto’s FUCKED UP have saturated themselves with a barrage of incredible singles that have nearly the entire globe singing their praise – as well as their choruses. Still others are eagerly awaiting their chance to explode, like newcomers SINKING SHIPS (Seattle), ROBOT WHALES (Brooklyn), and IRON BOOTS (Virginia Beach) – and that is just the tip of the iceberg.
