RAN – BEAUTIFUL SONGS FOR UGLY CHILDREN CD

65,00 zł

Zespół z Sunderland, mocno „spokrewniony” z LEATHERFACE.

Klasyczny album RAN „Beautiful Songs For Ugly Children” został nagrany w 1994 roku z zamiarem wydania go przez Boss Tuneage – jednak różne czynniki sprzysięgły się przeciwko nam, aby umożliwić jego wydanie.

Do teraz!

RAN – nazwa pochodzi od japońskiego słowa oznaczającego „chaos” – powstał pierwotnie w Sunderland w 1991 roku, kiedy to oryginalny basista LEATHERFACE, Stu Raymond, opuścił The Boat i połączył siły z Timem Mirsadeghim, Ianem Sybornem i Graeme’em Philliskirkiem.

Co więcej, mamy towarzyszący albumowi album RAN „OUT OF CHAOS”, zawierający wszystkie ich nagrania demo z lat 1991-1993, kiedy byli w czteroosobowym składzie z Graeme’em.

RANs classic „Beautiful Songs For Ugly Children” album was recorded back in 1994 for intended release on Boss Tuneage back then – when various factors conspired against us to enable its release.

Until Now!

RAN – the name coming from the Japanese word for „chaos” – was originally formed in Sunderland sometime in 1991 when original LEATHERFACE bassist Stu Raymond left The Boat and teamed up with Tim Mirsadeghi, Ian Syborn and Graeme Philliskirk. During the sessions for second demo „TOTAL CHAOS” Stu would leave to be replaced by John Livingstone. Late in 1993 Graeme left the band, and would re-appear with Ian Armstrong and Lainey in RUGRAT / BULLTACO, and would be bass player for LEATHERFACE in their final incarnation and can currently be found being kept busy by ROACH SQUAD and LITTLE ROCKET RECORDS,
Ian would also drum not only on the last LEATHERFACE peel session but would also have stints in RED ALERT and STOKOE.

Since relaunching the label in 1999, Boss Tuneage has wanted to release this album for over two and a half decades, but it looked impossible as we had lost touch with Tim and John from the band (Ian tragically passed away in 2002) – but earlier this year, a chance message from Ian’s brother Neil put me back in touch for the first time in almost three decades with Tim and John – so here it is, finally, available on LP and CD!

This CD version contains three additional bonus tracks recorded later in 1996/1997 who’s existence I didn’t know about until earlier this year! There is also a vinyl version listed elsewhere, as well as a combination offer for those wishing to pick up both formats at a reduced overall price..

Not only that – we have a companion release by RAN – „OUT OF CHAOS” compiling all their demo recordings from 1991-1993 when they were a 4 piece with Graeme that is also available to order on LP or CD, as well as combination offers also listed on the webstore.. if you wait three decades for something, you might as well do it in style!

Please note – our overseas shipping rates now includes tracked airmail as standard. This unfortunately has become a necessity to ensure no problems with overseas airmail delivery.. you will find if overseas if you order more than a solitary item, it will become a lot more cost effective on shipping for you…
